The top wood of DuraMagicFloor veneer flooring is Natural Veneer, which is material cut from logs. The natural wood grain pattern of each veneer expresses the species from which it comes and the environment in which it was grown. The characteristics of the wood will be seen in the finished wood flooring. Natural Veneer as a surface layer makes the veneer flooring look the same as solid wood flooring, but ti is more environmentally friendly than solid wood flooring, because its substrate is using high-quality fast-growing wood, which protects resources and is more stable; at the same time it is less expensive than solid wood; and its glue usage is only one tenth of laminate flooring, which is more environmentally friendly than laminate flooring.
The conventional thickness of Natural Veneer selected by DuraMagicFloor for manufacturing engineered wood flooring is
The logs selected for the production of natural veneer are carefully selected in order to ensure the quality of the surface boards of veneer flooring. Our log buyers are in strict compliance with the FSC when carefully selecting logs. making our wood flooring manufacturing ecologically sustainable. DuraMagicFloor natural veneer is cut from logs by sawing and planing. Different cutting methods make different veneer thicknesses.
When using belt saw, the veneer is sawed directly on the wet logs, cut and dried in the sun. The thickness of the cut veneer is 4~6mm.
When using frame saw, the wood needs to be kiln dried and then cut, and the thickness of the veneer is 1.8mm~6mm.
Sliced cut out the thickness of the surface board is 0.4mm ~ 3mm.
When logs are cut into veneer, the veneer will have a natural appearance in addition to the natural wood grain with different natural defects, such ascracks, worm eyes, knots, white edges, etc. We offer you the option to match the appearance of the veneer to your flooring design before the manufacturing process begins.
With our strong wood supply chain, we can provide our customers with a wide selection of precious woods to be used as top layer of veneer flooring . Veneer are Oak, Red Oak, Ash, American Walnut, Teak, Maple, Hickory, Doussie, Iroko, Merbau, Ipe, Sapele, Birch, Palisandar, Rosewood, Taun, Mahogany, Black Lotus, Cumaru, Sucupira and so on.
These woods have the highest grade of wood grain pattern and wood hardness of any wood in the forest.
Veneer Flooring common grades are AB(PRIME), ABC(SELECT), ABCD(NATURE/RUSTIC).

1.Saw cut
①belt saw
(4-6mm above the surface board, need wet logs directly sawed and then dried. Belt saw precision is not enough, large losses, but the power is large, suitable for fast cutting wood or plate.)
②Frame saw
( the Veneer 1.8mm-6mm need kiln dry kiln dry before cutting )
2. Sliced cut
(0.4mm-3mm similar to cutting vegetables)
3. Rotary cut
(eucalyptus / birch substrate are rotated out, similar to the pen knife)
The moisture content of veneer floor is normally 8+-2%,We use moisture tester. We do moisture test from the beginning to the end of production many times. When we are selecting veneers, after kiln dry, after gluing, and after coating before packing, we check the moisture all the time. And not only to the veneer, but also to the plywood. Only if the veneer and plywood moisture has reach a certain value, we can start glue and cold press.
