Bostik’s MAX 285 is a premium one-component SMP wood flooring adhesive designed for professional high-yield installations.

Engineered with advanced Silyl-Modified Polymer (SMP) technology , this solvent-free adhesive provides a tough yet elastic bond that accommodates natural wood movement. It offers excellent moisture protection and sound reduction, making it ideal for installing solid and engineered hardwood over various substrates, including underfloor heating systems.

Withstands continuous thermal cycling up to +90°C post-cure. Certified for use with radiant underfloor heating systems.

05 Noise Reduction & Moisture Proofing

The elastic rubber layer provides acoustic dampening and forms a moisture-resistant barrier between the floor and substrate.

06 Low VOC · Safe for Installers

Water-free and solvent-free formulation. No isocyanate content. Classified as Skin Sensitization Category 1 — standard PPE (gloves, goggles) is sufficient.

Application Conditions

Apply at +5°C to +40°C. Tack-free in approx. 60 min. Cure rate: 2–3 mm per 24 hours at 23°C / 47% RH. Minimum 24 hours before floor sanding — 3 to 14 days recommended.
